Telia Law is a litigation boutique law firm dedicated to complex civil litigation in Las Vegas, Nevada. Though we only started in 2013, we have already achieved a strong record of victories. We are extremely adept at the “difficult” or “weird” case. If you are not sure if your case fits with our practice areas, or no other attorney you talk to knows what to do with it, give us a call. Our success results from an approach to handling cases that is fundamentally different from that of most firms that handle comparable matters in Las Vegas. We do not take the conventional think-inside-of-the-box or template approach. We do not practice law as though it were “paint by numbers.” We devise how to handle a case with focused creativity and intelligent risk-taking.
Telia was born in Bedford-Stuyvesant, a neighborhood of legendary toughness in Brooklyn, New York. She nonetheless graduated the valedictorian of her all-girls private school, and then attended Yale University on a scholarship, where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in English, with honors. Telia earned a Masters degree (also with honors) from Brown University, and then attended Harvard Law School, graduating in the top of her law school class in 2003.
Telia was selected for a prestigious appellate clerkship for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She then worked for Robert Eglet, the most winning trial attorney in Nevada history, and his late partner, Johnnie Cochran.
Telia has worked in the litigation departments of the most prestigious law firms in the country, including the 500+ attorney firms of Cravath, Swaine, & Moore in New York City, and WilmerHale, in Washington, D.C. In New York and D.C., Telia extensively practiced in the area of securities litigation, antitrust, intellectual property, and real estate litigation. She has participated in high-stakes cases involving Fortune 500 companies such as the internationally-reported UnitedHealth Group backdated stock options case in 2006.
Since then, Telia has worked at the highest levels in several practice areas. Aside from securities litigation, Telia has extensive practice in consumer rights, employment law, trusts and estates litigation, family law, and white-collar criminal defense. Telia speaks and/or is certified to translate legal documents in Spanish, French, and German.
In 2013, Telia was appointed a judge pro tempore in Justice Court, Clark County, Nevada.
